They tested ForceWare 52.16 against the newly released ForceWare 56.56 Drivers using the following Nvidia cards GeForce FX 5950 Ultra, FX 5700 Ultra, FX 5600 Ultra, FX 5200 Ultra, GeForce4 Ti 4600, GeForce3 and using the following benchmarks Lock On: Modern Air Combat, Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament 2003, Quake III: Arena version 1.32, Splinter Cell and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness.

You propably read a lot of tests for these drivers, but has anyone compared three versions. Are there any improvements between Catalyst 3.10 and 4.2? Or maybe Omega 3.10 and Omega 4.2? Maybe DNA Drivers are better then the rest? Check our comparsion of Catalyst, Omega and DNA Drivers based on versions 3.10, 4.1 and 4.2.

Resources give me the choice to mirror this leaked ForceWare driver of NVIDIA, I would like to give you the change to give it a look. As we all read on other sites this detonator has a bug in Unreal Tournament 2004 and should be fixed by NVIDIA soon. The official release date of this ForceWare driver should be the first of march. One of the major features targeted at gamers in the 56.56 driverset is the inclusion of application specific profiles for games. What this allows is a different set of parameters to be launched with each particular game. For example, a user may want to play Call of Duty with 4x AA and 8x AF but would not want to do the same with Halo because AA / AF does not work properly with it.

Nvnews.net reports that Nvidia is planning to release a new set of WHQL ForceWare graphics drivers within the next couple of weeks. Referred to as the Release 55 drivers, version 56.56 was to have been posted today, but was delayed due to a bug that would have affected the performance of the new Unreal Tournament 2004 demo.

Update: I was just over at Gainward's ftp when I notice they have a Nvidia MCE Codec pack out! Date 17 feb 2004, I haven't download the pack and I don't know what's in it! but if your game here's the link and don't forget to report back?
