Nvidia 42.01 Win9x/ME Driver Posted

You might have noticed that about a week ago 42.01 Wink/XP driver appeared on-line. At the time Win9/ME version was no where to be seen BUT today it has finally appeared on-line!!!

NVIDIA Beta Detonator 4.2.0.1 for Win9x/ME

dated 12/11/2002 (11th of December 2002) generic release supporting all nvidia desktop cards to date (apart from mobile cards) full multilanguage support full driver version is 4.14.01.4201 which means this driver supports DX9? (4.13 was dx8) this is beta driver unsupported by NVIDIA, try only at your own risk!

Well for all the Peeps that missed these drivers there back as Area3d.net removed the drivers due to request and here's a run down on the bad boys by Rage3D.com.

Theres much talk about the latest beta driver release, the 7.83's. It seems that these drivers finally give ATI 16bit FSAA support. Thats right, so go back to your old games and start to enjoy goodness of FSAA. Again, its great to see ATI is committed to giving top notch driver excellence.

As promised, new nvidia drivers have hit the web. We have two sets available: Detonator 42.01 for Win2k/XP only and Detonator 32.20 for Win2k/XP and Win9x/ME

1. Detonator 42.01 for Win2k/XP dated 12/11/2002 (11th of December 2002). generic, full multilanguage release supporting all released nVidia cards to date. DirectX9 compatible driver.

2. Detonator 32.20 for Win9x/ME and Win2k/XP dated 11/08/2002 (8th of November 2002). generic, non-multilanguage release. supports all nvidia cards released to date.

Detonator 41.80 Light and change Creative name Hacks

I was just over @X-bios and I noticed that they have posted Detonator-Light v41.80 with No Creative names, no multilingual files and modified .inf file, included Coolbits registry entry .

And for those that hate the Creative name in there drivers here's a Hack that will delete the Creative logo in the control panel and how about creating your own logo's for driver control panel

Creative Releases 41.80 Drivers for Win9x/ME/2k/XP!!!

Just got word from "anonymous" that Creative Europe has released brand new drivers for their line of NVIDIA Graphics Cards. These latest drivers are of version 41.80 dating back to 27th of November 2002 (11/27/2002).

Their full version is 6.14.1.4180 (win2k/xp) - making them the first DX9 compliant drivers (?) as previous drivers' full versions were 6.13.1.4xxx. The DXDiag app in DirectX 9 also says it supports DDI 9 - whereas 41.09 for example only showed them as supporting DDI 8...

UPDATE: Farge spotted in the 41.80 .zip file that a file called "modes.txt" says: Version 42.00, 12/10/2002 - so could this be the next version to come out? Time will tell...

New Matrox Parhelia Drivers For WinXP/2k

Just got an email from GuyMann-Dude in my box who give me the information that Matrox has a new driver for the Parhelia released.

This driver release supports both Matrox Parhelia 128MB and 256MB boards only. Please uninstall your current drivers using Microsoft Add/Remove Programs before installing the new drivers. Do not uninstall your current drivers if you have Matrox RT2500, Matrox DigiSuite or Matrox Imaging products installed in your system.
