Just got word that Omegadrive @ DriverHeaven has released some tweaked Nvidia v29.42 drivers for Windows 98/ME/2K/XP. Here's what he's saying:

OK, sorry for my absence, but I have been putting things into perspective and re-aligning my life, so I'm doing "little" work on my PC and more work in my real life, to put things in balance if you know what I mean...

Well, in this little time I have tweaking the nvidia drivers a little more, I still can't get the D3D drivers to do what I want, but at least they are optimized, sans the LOD, I may contact Nvidia, to see "if" they can help me (yeah, right, keep dreaming...) But in the meantime there is a new release, still beta, but runs better than the previous release.

Lighting up the day we have some new drivers to test for you. This is the latest known release of VIA system drivers also known as 4-in-1 package. BTW this release features a new installer. This is an official release including: New security catalog files, VIA AGP driver 4.20a, VIA Inf driver 1.60a, WHQL Certificate. Details will follow later. For now head over to our downloads page...

Visiontek have released their own version of Nvidia's Detonator v29.42 WHQL drivers for Windows 9x/Me/NT4.0/2000/XP and also a new WDM 1.11 (Video Capture driver for Xtasy Everything and Xtasy Ti 4600).

Logitech has released a new set of mouse drivers. The new version is 9.61. As usual no word on what's new.

ATI has released a new Direct3D driver library file which fixes excessive fog issues in Grand Theft Auto 3 which renders the game unplayable. Download now to prevent those issues.

Ok Peeps sorry for the delay but I now have the new Creative SB-Live! 5.1 Driver WHQL v5.12.1.3521 For Windows 9x/ME.

Well better late than never - What we have in our download archive since Friday, May 17th is now also available from Soltek's support download site. The driver versions are exactly the same and from what I could gather the Soltek release is also not WHQL certified. As a reminder this version has VIA AGP driver 4.20 included.

Station Drivers has got a newer driver for your SB-Live! They're WHQL certified. It's got a new devldr.exe and a newer sblfx.dll. BTW: The original SB-Live! XP drivers from Creative are version 5.12.1.3509.

MSI have released new Nvidia nForce system drivers WHQL 2.29 for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP! No word on what's new. If you got further info on driver versions included please post a comment so we can update this post.

ATI have released their Catalyst Radeon (7.72) reference drivers for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP that should work on all ATI Radeon cards. These drivers also contain all multilanguage files thus the increased file size. Differences compared to the -efg.exe (english-french-german) downloads are not known.

ATI has just released version 02.1 of the new Catalyst series of drivers. Windows Update has newer nForce WHQL certified audio drivers version 5.10.2849.0. Previously the latest drivers were 5.10.2843.0 as part of the leaked Asus 2.43 package.
