New VIA AGP 4.10b Driver Available!

Published by [NT] 0

I found this @ VIA Arena and this is what they said: Part of the 4 in 1 driver set is an AGP driver. The driver below is the AGP driver version 4.10b which is Microsoft certified. In due course it will be put into the next update of the 4 in 1 drivers. The version of the AGP driver in the current 4.37(a) 4 in 1 drivers is the 4.05c. This driver has been designed to enhance performance under Windows XP. Tested on a KT266A chipset motherboard with a GeForce 3, and WinXP, this driver provided an extra 3 fps in Quake III and an extra 100 marks in 3D Mark 2001. To install the driver click on the appropriate link. Choose the "Save File" option and save it to your folder under Windows where you file your drivers. Unzip the file. Double click the "SETUP.EXE" icon. The program will then run and install the driver. You will be asked to restart. Always restart after installing drivers. So these must be good and fast I guess... ATI FSAA No Driver Bug!

Leadtek Detonator 27.50 Drivers Update!

Published by NewsFactory 1

After yesterdays post Leadtek Tools And Driver Updates! and HaloJones' reply in the comments.

The drivers for the Titanium cards from Leadtek are certainly not 27.50, I have downloaded them twice so far, once from the link here and from their own website link.

They are coming up as 21.83 if you look at the driver install numbers. They also have been sending my Win2K system into reboot frenzy! Avoid at all costs...

I fired an email off to Leadtek Support.

A new driver for Windows 2000 and XP has recently become available. You can now download it from us. It is dated 02/13/2002 (13th of February 2002) and its version is 2.7.5.2 (27.52). ATI DirectX FSAA Bug Discovered!

Published by [PM] 0

Thomas sent me a note claiming that he has discovered an ATI D3D driver bug. This bug is associated with the D3DRS_FOGENABLE option in DirectX 8.1 and affects the FSAA quality mode. The vertical edge filter is turned off (2xFSAA; in 4xFSAA the filter is on, but weaker than without fog), if fog is enabled. You may want to check out two comparison screenshots @ ToMMTi-Systems.
