Friday saw the release of ATI's driver set for the month of August, which for the first time in a while contained the promise of some rather substantial performance improvements. Elite Bastards put the titles cited in ATI's release notes through their paces on a couple of high-end boards to see if CATALYST 6.8 lives up to its potential.
We have noticed that some people still prefer to use the old ATI Control Panel over the Catalyst Control Center. As a result I have decided to incorporate the Control Panel into the newly released Catalyst 6.8s!
This unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability. The ATI CATALYST software suite is the ultimate in performance and stability.
I had some problems with soft-mods and the 6.6 driver set, so I decided to skip them and wait for 6.7, well, they have the same problem, but I found a workaround this time, so here they are. :)
