We have removed build 2162 from Windows Update temporarily. The build is still available on Windowsbeta.
We are striving to test not only SP2 but Windows Update V5 with the release of 2162. We decided to make some changes that will better allow us to accomplish this goal. You may continue to install from the builds on Windowsbeta and by the end of the week we plan to have another 2162 package on Windows Update for you. Since we would like most beta testers to install from WU individual emails notifiying testers of build 2162 will not be sent until the build is available again on WU.
You can help us test by installing this build from Windows Update. It would be especially helpful if you could configure one or more machines in advance so that Automatic Updates will retrieve the package when it becomes available. If you can, please do the following:
Import the required registry key. Important: This step is REQUIRED to install build 2162 via Windows Update
Save the attached file (ssrk_edw.reg.txt).
Rename the file to "ssrk_edw.reg".
Double click the file and confirm the import into your registry.
Be sure you have Automatic Updates enabled on your system. (Start --> Control Panel --> Security Center --> Automatic Updates [On]). When the package is available later this week it will be offered to you per your AU settings.
Thank you in advance.
Paul

i'm using 2138, no probs so far... but i gotta say the new "features" are really annoying as hell imo, once i got all the stuff shut off, and trimmed down XP runs just great with it.
the new windows updates a PITA too, as i have to enable 3 or 4 services that i normally dont ever have enabled
(i keep only what i need running as a rule)
all that aside, stability is good, performance is good, but if they keep up the way their going.. i'll be using linux more and more every day lol.

This build messed up my mouse movement.
I'd recommend against it.

Norton Live Update has stopped working on my computer in this build. Even a manual live update gives an Internal error message. Evwertning else seems fine.

While installing it, I get the following error: A Connection with the server could not be established!
