Windows 10 Virtual Desktop Enhancer is an AutoHotkey script which adds some useful features to Windows 10 64-Bit Virtual Desktops.Windows 10 Virtual Desktop Enhancer includes extra customizable keyboard shortcuts to switch or move a window to a different desktop, customizable keyboard shortcuts to pin a window or a program to all desktops, the setting of a custom wallpaper for each virtual desktop, an indicator in the tray area customizable with various icon packs showing the number of the current desktop, assigning custom desktop names to each desktop, and fully customizable tooltips showing the desktop name when switching desktops.There's no real installation so to install, extract all files and execute "virtual-desktop-enhancer.exe" in the folder. Overall, this is one of those third-party niche apps that works well but isn't so easy to setup. Help is available on the home page.There are two easy ways to have this program automatically start when you log in. Try the first procedure, if it does not work, then try the second one.Procedure 1: Autostart folder Open the folder where you saved the downloaded files Right click on the executable or on the script file (depending on which one you want to use) -> "Send to" -> "Desktop (create shortcut)" On your desktop there should now be a new shortcut for "virtual-desktop-enhancer.exe": right click on it -> "cut" Open the Start menu; in the search box enter "run" and open the "Run" program which should be the first result In the box which will pop up enter shell: OK"startup and click OK." A folder will open: right click on the folder -> "Paste" Now if you restart the computer the program should start automaticallyProcedure 2: Task Scheduler Open the Start menu and in the search box enter "run": open the "Run" program which should be the first result In the box which will pop up enter Taskschd.msc and click "OK." In the menu of window that will open click "Action" -> "Create Basic Task" Choose a name and a description for the task (e.g. "win10-virtual-desktop-enhancer starter") and press "Next" Choose "When I log on" and click "Next." Choose "Start a program" and click "Next" Click on "Browse" and select the "virtual-desktop-enhancer.exe" file in the folder where you have extracted it and click "Next." Verify that all the settings are correct and click "End." You can now close the window: if you restart the computer Windows 10 Virtual Desktop Enhancer should start automatically
