VNC Guide - A VNC Tutorial for Windows XP

VNC (Virtual Network Computing) - Remote control software that you can use to see the desktop of a remote machine and control it with your local mouse and keyboard, just like you would do it sitting in the front of that computer. You can use VNC over LANs, WANs, Broadband ISP (Cable, DSL), and Modem Dial-up ISP. The performance will vary with the amount of networking bandwidth you have, but there are special encodings and compression to make the most out of the bandwidth available. While there are various VNC software packages available, this guide will concentrate on installing and setting up the TightVNC version on Windows XP (Windows 2000 installation will be similar).
