Just like CPUs, the graphic processor on the video card can also be over-clocked, a process of adjusting the internal frequency of which the processor runs at. Furthermore, more heat is been generated from the processor die. "An effective cooling unit is critical for today's high performance processors, to ensure the chip will perform efficiently and prolong its life span, especially on an over-clocked processor," commented Bob Chang, Head of Thermaltake R&D.

By utilizing nickel-plated copper heat pipe, Giant II is able to move heat away from the heat source quickly and effectively. To enhance heat dissipation, Giant II has heat sink area several times larger than the stock solution. This latest solution is equipped with a high performance 45mm fan unit that operates at 5400RPM while pushing 11.35CFM. Giant II is designed to work with both Nvidia & ATi video cards. Giant II will be available in June 2003 worldwide.
