TextShield is a Free, compact word processor with a wealth of features. Beside of those features available in most word processors, it has also more advanced , but easy-to-use, features. It can for example compress files automatically using the popular ZIP compression, which can make them up to 95% smaller. It saves files in the universal RTF format, which every decent word processor supports, or in plain text: it was made to act as both a word processor and a plain text editor. For maximum interchangeability,TextShield has a build-in HTML converter and the ability to save to the Microsoft Word and other formats using Microsoft converters.
