PowerColor today announced their Radeon 9800 XT 256Mb of 256-bit DDR, 415/365 MHz with a 730MHz DDR clock and 9600 XT has 128Mb of 128-bit DDR, 500/300 MHz with a 600MHz DDR clock GPU's which will arrive in retail channels in October! but what was so interesting about the announcement is they will be launching a RADEON 9800 XT 128Mb Version, no info yet on clocks speeds.

There was an earlier thread talking about this. It was brought up that since Ati said the 9600XT would be faster than the 9700Pro in all cases. That didn't sound right to me so I emailed Ati. This is what they had to say.
