QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files (.mov, .qt and other extensions) without having to install the official QuickTime Player. It also supports QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages.
What's New:
- It is now possible to save embedded QuickTime clips
- It is now possible to download QuickTime HD clips (the ones that are opened by buttons).
- QuickTime HD clips can be played (after renaming to .mp4) if both ffdshow and Haali mp4 splitter are installed (e.g. by K-Lite Mega Codec Pack).
- The above means that Windows 98/ME users can finally play QuickTime HD clips. Although it does require a fast CPU.
- Minor changes.
