Gamers Depot has a review up on Intel's latest Pentium 4 "Extreme Edition" CPU, which is clocked at 3.2GHz - they compare it to the performance of the Athlon64 FX-51 processor.

AMD released its new Athlon 64 FX-51 processor which, quite frankly, took Intel by surprise with regards to its overall performance and because they didn?t initially have anything planned to release at that time which would directly compete. As what we think of as a ?stop-gap?, the P4 EE for all intents and purpose is simply a CPU that Intel quickly put together to have something more competitive to the Athlon 64 FX-51.
