Network Monitor allows you to observe network activity on authorized LAN networks and more.It monitors the network in real-time using a fast ping scan only scanning 50 hosts per network, and it will inform you as to which hosts are dead and which are live making it a useful tool for ascertaining open machines for instance. It is set up to display details while the scan is still being run eliminating the need to add each separate host to the network. It can also be set for background scan which is an automated process that will loop every few minutes refreshing for new hosts on the network. You can also change the Remote Shell port and select each Router IP address range. So, if you use for example 192.168.1, your Router would have to be "192.168.1.1" making it very simple to utilize. Network Monitor's left-click menu has numerous cool features, the very first option is the Windows Telnet Client, and the next option is the NetBIOS table in Windows. The Explorer option is to open a computer which has a shared network. Depending on which VNC Client you have near this software, you can use the VNC option which can open up a Remote Desktop session using any remote VNC server for each host; this is useful for monitoring other users activities.Additionally, some VNC Clients have the FTP function allowing you to copy files to and from each server. And finally, the status bar shows you the scan for each host in real-time on the Network.Network Monitor also permits you to use the 'Remote Shell' function for Windows Secure Backdoor or Telnet Server.
