Red Storm Entertainment has now released the playable demo of Ghost Recon, allowing you to try out their imminent squad-based tactical shooter. The demo clocks in at 74.0 MB and features one new mission and also includes multiplayer support.
Update: I've added the early test version of the Ghost Recon Toolkit, allowing you to configure different options in the just released demo.
Play a special bonus level of Ghost Recon in this demo version of the new new tactical first person shooter. The demo features one brand new mission that will not be included in the final game. The mission acts as a prequel to the storyline of the full retail version and will also have limited multiplayer support. As a bonus, players who purchase the Retail copy of Ghost Recon will be able to upload the Demo map into the retail version, providing an additional multiplayer map.

The GR Toolkit is an application that provides a quick and easy interface to many of the configurable options in Ghost Recon. One of the most convenient features is the ability to paste an IP address and check the status/ping of a server and join it directly without having to type the IP address in the game interface. This feature is very popular for gamers who have their buddies ICQ them an IP address of a server someone is hosting. The address book, while not enabled in this test build, will let you add in the names and IPs of your favorite servers to quickly check their status and join.
