Nanya claimed it is the first company in Taiwan to develop DDR333, which has already been tested and certified by Asustek Computer, Micro-Star International (MSI), Gigabyte Technology and Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS). Nanya is offering DDR333 in 128 and 256Mbit capacities, as well as PC2700 DIMMs (dual in-line memory modules). Samsung began volume production of DDR333 on August 16. The company announced plans to increase DDR from 5% to 20% of its total production volume. Hynix Semiconductor and Micron Technology have sent their DDR333 for verification. Taiwan-based Powerchip Semiconductor (PSC) has sent its DDR333 to Thailin Semiconductor for testing and is aiming to start volume production at the end of 2001. Source: DigiTimes
