Zoom Player v3.00 RC 2

Published by

Zoom Player should now support unicode filenames in every which way (display / playlists / loading / drag&drop / etc...). This was very difficult to do and required a lot of small code changes throughout the entire codebase. Hopefully nothing was overlooked (let Blight know if it has).

There are also a lot of tweaks, fixes and improvements which are listed below. For the full change list since v2.90 open up the whatsnew.txt file that comes within the archive. Read More for download and changes.

Some fixes and improvements: Zoom Player now support MMS Audio Streaming (mostly used by radio stations). This support includes a Radio Station Manager (press "X" on the keyboard to open). You can now save general-purpose Skin Tinting Profiles. These are accessible through the Skin Selection dialog. I've even made a few default profiles. New "Export Settings" button on the options dialog allows you to export the current Zoom Player settings into a windows registry file of your choice. To re-import the settings at a later date, you can simple double click on the file with Zoom Player closed and the settings will be restored. New Setting (Options / OSD / Actions) allowing you to disable the background skinning of the Pop-Up OSD. The association dialog now allows you to manually select the icons of associated file extensions. You can now have the source resolution show up within the Timeline. Middle click the timeline to enable this feature. New "Hide File Extension" setting for the Play List Editor (Options / Values / Play List). You can now associate the ".AVS" (AVISynth Script Format) extension. Holding Ctrl or Alt with their respective settings to drag the window/video will change the mouse cursor to indicate this.
