Just a quick one, I Upgraded to XP and in turn changed to the 21.81 NVidia drivers I'd refused to use due to instability on my WinME system, well... it's all changed now. Click Read More to find out my results.
Well, I tried an XP upgrade at first, results where horrible, so I reformatted, 'nuff said' After the reinstall things where great, The Release version of XP is really cool and very stable. I installed my Geforce3 with the 21.81 drivers, and installed my KT7A-RAID Via 4in1 drivers, all went on ok, despite the absence of a turbo mode for the VIA AGP bus driver, in fact the driver didn't install at all, if any one knows more about this please leave a comment... I then tweaked my Geforce3 with all the usual tweaks I use, which all worked fine on XP, and overclocked it to 235/546. I ran Quake3, and hit a whopping 158fps on timdemo1. I then ran 3DMark2001, which I previously scored 6340 with the same settings under WinME... Well you can see my results: So over all, I think XP and the NVidia drivers rock, time to upgrade?...
