Two different programs, that can activate Windows XP without Microsofts blessing are circulating. The Patch made by the group Sad Team consists of a 700 KByte EXE-file that contains an Installer.
To activate both Home and Professional versions of Windows XP, the Patch must be run in "Safe Mode", After rebooting, windows is completely activated.
The second tool is a Keymaker that validates and generates CD-Keys for Windows XP Home, Professional and Corporate as well as for Office XP and Visio XP. In our test, the tool generated 25 valid keys for Windows XP Home in one night. Such a key can be used in the installation of Windows XP as a valid Product-ID, the copy can be 'officially' activated by microsoft per telephone or internet-connection.
