BigBadBob over at FutureMark's Forum has thrown up his VSYNC, Frame Rates, Refresh Rates Info guide!
The past few weeks have spawned more threads concerning frame rates, refresh rates and vsync than I care to count. It seems very apparent therefore that the community needs some level of education concerning these matters and how they relate to each other, and to gaming performance. I will attempt here to define these terms individually and then experimentally provide frame rate results indicative of how and why they do what they do.
Apologies for any grammatical errors or general crap writing. Most has been done while very tired at 3 in the morning, for some reason I thought it better than sleep Anyhow, please contact me if you find any problems or feel parts of the text too confusing.
