Via takes P4 battle to Intel ramparts !

CHIPSET AND CPU manufacturer Via has taken a leaf out of Intel's book and has prepared a presentation to counter the one mighty Chipzilla itself made to mobo makers some weeks ago.The briefing, which we have seen, is intended to woo people away from the Intel i845 and 850 chipsets.
Via claims the P4X266 offers five per cent better performance than the i850, is 40 per cent faster than the i845 using Office Bench, 4 per cent better than the 850, and 13 per cent better than the i850 on Quake 3 and AquaMark benchmarks
