Technology is advancing that new products are too soon to be outdated. To further boost up the CPU capacity, 1333MHz FSB Intel Core based Desktop processors are going to be launched in Mid-2007. For supporting the new CPU, a new chipset corresponding to 1333 MHz FSB would be launched together. Code named Bearlake, it included Bearlake-P for mainstream and Bearlake-G for IGP market.

Bearlake-X also support for dual graphic card like 975X, and it has been improved to fully support 16 lanes, reducing the chance of meeting a bottleneck. As ATi has been acquired by AMD, CrossFire may no longer be supported in Bearlake-X. Whereas, nVidia and Intel are finding new co-operation chance, SLi may be a possible outcome since nVidia has already authorized Intel for SLi support in mobile chipset.
