sPinger is a freeware ping tool that can quickly ping large numbers of IP addresses with themes you can adjust to your liking.sPinger is designed to ping multiple IP addresses so those wanting a simple ping tool for their personal use might find it a bit complicated. We don't mean sPinger is complicated, it's not, but there's plenty of settings to be found beyond just simple pinging. You can type in the addresses to ping, generate IPs from subnets or scan subnets for pingable IPs. We tested with the good old reliable 127.0.0.1 for kicks and found this app to be fast. You can just Start pings, Flush DNS, and clear good, TTL, or bad pings.Numerous options are available as well. While you can modify the font and foregroundbackground under Options, you can also define the number of threads, pings per IP, max bad pings, timeout, size, and loop delay. Now we come to one of the unique parts of sPinger - the icon themes. We counted 64 themes including the default theme. The themes include Super Mario Bros, Stars, Traffic Lights, Aliens, Balls, Cars, Angry Birds, Hearts, and more. Each theme has four icons for Pinging, Good, TTL, and Bad. It adds a little fun to the typically dull ping process. Double-click the one you like, and it becomes your default theme. But wait, there's more. You can create custom themes. You'll need both 16x16 and 32x32 icons, for a total of six icons. Click each of the six blank icon windows to import yours, and then save it so you can load it anytime. There's plenty of ping tools here on MajorGeeks, and you can always ping from the command-prompt. But, if you want a capable, fun ping tool, then sPinger is it. I have to admit; it's the most fun we've had pinging in years. Yeahs, we're weird.
