Just got word that AMD3D have thrown up their Soundcard Roundup with cards from Creative , Hercules and Nvidia's soundstorm.
In this review I'm going to be looking at a range of cards from the onboard NVIDIA SoundStorm on the ABIT AN7, the Hercules Fortissimo GameSurround III, the Creative SB Audigy and the Creative SB Audigy 2.
As you can see I've specifically chosen cards that all have different chipsets and are in the steadily increasing expense bracket, from 'free' onboard up to the £60 you'd pay for the standard Audigy 2. For some of the tests I've added other cards like the other onboard cards although I'm not reviewing them, I'm simply adding them for reference.
Well, on with the review ... lets take a look at the cards to start with and see there similar and different features!
