USB fans have been on the market for quite a few years now, but most are poorly designed or are simply way too small to be useful. What we really need is someone with a proven record in making high performing internal PC fans to adopt that same design premise for a desktop fan. This is where Silverstone has chosen to enter this market. Their Air Penetrator series of fans, reviewed previously, have unique grill designs that waste less air and channel the resulting airflow into a much stronger column. These fans performed lawlessly inside my computer, and now Silverstone has taken them outside my computer with a variety of colourful USB models.
