Second-Tier Motherboard Makers See Mixed July Revenues

July revenue growth varied considerably among Taiwan?s second-tier motherboard makers, with Jetway Information enjoying a 39.6% increase while ABIT Computer suffered a 19.2% plunge compared to the previous month.

Jetway Information generated NT$305 million in revenues for July, up 39.6% from June, due to increased shipments of both motherboards and graphics cards, according to the company. It projects similar revenues for August.

ABIT generated NT$948 million in July revenues, down 19.2% from June, on shipments of 190,000 motherboards and projects its August revenues may reach NT$1 billion. It is targeting shipping 210,000 motherboards in August, a month-on-month increase of 10.5%. For September, it is targeting a historic high of more than NT$1.1 billion in revenues.
