It's based on a fork of the Windows Live Writer code and supports most of the popular blogging software including WordPress, OverBlog, Sharepoint, TypePad, and Blogger. You have the ability to compose your blog posts offline allowing for you to step away and revisit the post and add to it, edit it, etc., before final publishing.You will not be able to finish the setup process if you do not have an established account completed with one of the supported blog services.
