Well another week has passed and finally another Detonator build 30.30 has been leaked to the web. This is the build that was rumored to fix the Nvidia bug within 3DMark 2001 SE that produced higher scores than it should have. There are also a set of modified Nvidia drivers going around that are based on the 29.42 Detonators. This driver set is geared towards image quality as apposed to shooting for speed. Press more for further info.

The Nvidia 30.xx Detonators are supposed to focus on improving the performance of their drivers when anisotropic filtering is used. With that being said CC decided to put together a comparison of Omega's modified 29.42 drivers, and the freshly leaked Nvidia beta 30.30 drivers to see if they made any strides towards maintaining performance as well as improving the anisotropic filtering. Computer Chaos have ran these drivers through Q3Bench at 1024x786 with all textures and details maxed out and saw how these two sets of drivers match up. They are using Windows 2000 SP2 as their OS with Direct X 8.1b and a MSI GeForce 3 Ti200 with 128 Megs of DDR. Enough said lets look at the results! News Source: Computer Chaos
