In the entry-level segment of graphics cards the GT 730 was a popular choice for a long time. For not a lot of money you could purchase a graphics card that was a lot faster than a lot of current integrated GPUs. However, at the time of the Maxwell-generation Nvidia did not release a GT 930; instead of that the lowest positioned GPU in the 900-series was the GTX 950. This graphics card was not comparable with its predecessor, in terms of both price and performance. Now that the Pascal-architecture is running at full speed, Nvidia completed their product portfolio by releasing a new entry-level card for the low-end segment and the spiritual successor of the GT 730: the GeForce GT 1030.
