That is about to change, for the internet as a vehicle for business - and in particular the small businesses that constitute the self-employed individual - is hamstrung by the inability to sensibly transact micro-payments. The banks, bless them, in general seem totally incapable of grasping the subject, while the costs of transacting a 10p single document purchase using a credit card makes the whole task pointless for everyone.
