Unwinder just released a new patch scripts to use in combination with RivaTuner 2.0 RC12.2. It's now called SoftR9x00 and patches the new ATI Catalyst 3.1 drivers! ATI launched 1028 drivers protected against SoftFireGL and hardware modded R9x00. He already is preparing scripts for them as well.
To all having problems with Bugcheck 0x8E (self-reboot in 2D with Catalyst 3.1 after script installation). We found another trap embedded by ATI programmers. They?ve added spontaneous reboots for SoftR9x00 patching... It?s now obviated.
So this removed one more protection in the Catalyst driver that caused BSOD with bugcheck 0x8E under Win2K/XP. Windows 9x/ME script didn't change so this update is a must for Windows 2000/XP users only.
