Microsoft just sent .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 beta testers a mail and informed them about the commencement of .Net Framework v1.0 SP3 beta program. Following is the excerpt of the mail sent:

Dear Microsoft Beta Tester,

Welcome to the beta release of the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 Beta Program.

Please Note the following:

· Service Packs for the .Net Framework cannot be uninstalled.
· When the beta program has completed, you will be required to uninstall any instances of the .Net Framework 1.0 or 1.1 and reinstall the released versions before installing the final release of the service packs.
· These Beta releases will be provided via download English language only.
· No CD kits will be shipped.
· You must have the released version of the .NET Framework 1.0 or .Net Framework 1.1, respectively installed prior to installing this Beta

Before you continue, it is important to understand that the beta release of any product will not display the stability of a shipped Microsoft product. You may encounter problems with the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 or .NET Framework 1.0 SP3, which could possibly result in a loss or destruction of data.
