Just got word that Inside-hardware.com have posted their review of Magic's 3 Playstation 2 ModChip! Here's a snip.
The Magic 3 bypasses region coding allowing you to play import games, CD backups, DVD backups, and your EA sport backups directly with no more need for patching and/or swap tricks. The Magic 3 is the successor to the Magic 2 Modchip, Magic 3 has less wires to solder, is a one chip fits all (i.e. its compatible with all 7 version PS2's), and has a smaller profile so its easier to tuck away inside the PS2 housing after installation. The kit were reviewing is from Modchip.ca (they gurantee you get real Magic 3 Chips and not clones), what other retailers offer in their kits may differ.
