A quote from the article:
n the upcoming year the big promise of the monitor market is hdr: high dynamic range. With a higher maximum brightness, a bigger contrast, bigger colour space and more accurate colour nuances these monitors should, provided that they use the proper source material, mean a big step forwards in the way we experience digital image. The best of the best should of course be the 4K-models, otherwise known as ultra hd monitors. For this you need a more modern interface than displayport 1.2, but nevertheless LG managed to combine 4K and hdr for this standard with the 32UD99. We found out how they managed to do this and put this monitor through our extensive test method.

We previously covered the first hdr-monitors that we welcomed to our test lab, the Samsung C49HG90 and the C27HG70. Secretly LG was first, but the pre-production model - that we were able to take a look at last summer - was not yet at a level that allowed for a lot of testing; it remained a big promise, the combination of the ultra hd-resolution with the higher dynamic range.
