Jarte is a capable WordPad based word processor that utilizes a unique interface.Jarte is designed to be an alternative to Microsoft Word, and even though it is touted as a Wordpad replacement, it can also create and save; tables, strikeout, superscript, subscript, highlighting, numbered lists, right/left indenting, quasi-hypertext, and URL linking as well as various line spacings. It includes three basic layouts to choose from: mini, compact, and full. They each can be used with user-selectable menus, bars, panels, etc. It also offers 'tabbed' functionality, and it does support touchscreen gestures for Windows 8 and above. It is capable of reading DOC, DOCX RTF, TXT and it is capable of exporting to HTML or PDF.
