The Beta version located on this page is only for customers that are interested in testing the latest Beta version of the Intel® Application Accelerator. This Beta version contains many new features that may or may not be incorporated into a future production release.

Automatic Acoustic Management (AAM): dramatically reduces the noise level of your hard drive by enabling the AAM features built into the drive. Works on most newer ATA/100 compatible hard drives. For instructions on changing the AAM setting, go to the Changing Automatic Acoustic Management Settings page.

Advanced Power Management (APM): adjust the power management settings of your hard drive. Settings for maximum performance or maximum battery life are available. Works on most newer ATA/100 compatible hard drives.
