DVDs are the current standard for data storage and more importantly as a publishing format. The question is for how much longer will they be sufficient? As such a battle, or ?format war? if you will, is in progress similar to that seen in the 1980?s between VHS and Betamax. This time around the same companies have fallen into the same camps and war is ensuing between Blu-ray technology and HD DVD technology. Review here
