Geekbench 2.0

Published by

Geekbench 2.0 has been released! Geekbench is a cross-platform benchmark suite designed to measure the performance an average application can expect from both the processor and the memory subsystem. Geekbench uses a number of different benchmarks to measure system performance, including: integer performance (Emulate 6502, Blowfish, bzip2 Compress and bzip2 Decompress), Floating Point Performance (Mandelbrot, JPEG Compress and JPEG Decompress, etc.), Memory Performance (Read Sequential, Write Sequential, Stdlib Allocate, Stream Performance, etc.).

Geekbench 2 is a huge improvement over Geekbench 2006, with new features like a new graphical user interface, new (and improved) benchmarks, and an improved result browser.
