I've just been flicking through an interesting thread at Beyond 3D, and thought I'd share - I'm sure most of you remember the large performance advantage ATI were showing in their Radeon X1800 launch presentations in the demo of F.E.A.R. compared to NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 parts.

I'm also sure you felt the same sense of disappointment to see that the performance in the final release of the game was nowhere near the levels ATI promised from the demo. Well, it appears that caboosemoose has stumbled across the reason for this anomaly.
