eVGA Releases Full Reference Detonator 44.67

Posted by [PM], 07/08/2003 07:19 AM 12 comment(s)

Jumping the gun eVGA has released a full reference Nvidia Detonator driver for Windows 2000 and XP. The 20.9MB download is a WHQL certified multilanguage release. More importantly eVGA states in the release notes, that all 3DMark 2003 issues have been corrected. If this note corresponds to the much disputed 'optimzations' remains to be seen. Looks like another round of Antidetector testing is coming at us. You can discuss your findings, benchmarks etc in this forum thread.

No chance of AntiDetector being run on these - Thanks to Unwinder for the info:

'NVIDIA prepared to launch new 44.67 drivers, that have heavily encrypted D3D driver which decrypts itself in runtime (to tangle disassembling) and internal code checksums calculations that emulate visual artifacts if at least one byte of code is patched. Currently the company acts exactly as I've assumed in the conclusion of the article. Shame.'

Just shows how low nvidia are right now. In contrast ATI are sending him a free 9800 ! What are nvidia afraid of i wonder?!

The only people who would see it like that are nvidiots. His script does as much 'potential' harm to ATI as it does to Nvidia, it just turns out that the Cats are much cleaner than the Dets. He had no way of knowing that before he wrote the script. Besides, unwinder is the writer of Rivatuner so he's hardly 'sweet' on ATI !

It's nice to know that Catalyst 3.5 are clean (there's one optimization left in 3DM01SE) and that the scores, being in-game or in benchmarks, show that ATi doesn't need to "optimize" like nVidia does to speed games up, plus ATi offers superior image quality.
Detonators and the new FX cards (5900U included) have become the laughing stock of nVidia.

LOL!!! Its not just him.... Seems by far the majority of posts here are from dribbling idiots.. Just wanna b*tch & say so & so sux without anything to back up there claims.. Dunno what goes on in there heads... I just can't seem to understand why these people think they are so smart but have to bash a company for 1 bad product cycle with a history of dominating the market.. Just shows how little they really know.. Nvidia will get there head outta there @ss soon enough & its getting a little tiresome reading how ATI are such saints.. ATI is a company in the business of making money... Don't think for 1 second that they haven't had more than a few shady deals.. When are you clowns gonna grow up?

Why is it that the ATI mororns come running to post a negative statement about Nvidia in a news posts thread about Nvidia drivers??? Are they insecure about ATI & the products they own? If you don't use Nvidia or like them STFU!!! Post in your ATI news threads... Btw... Just in case I get some flame from any ATI morons.. I currently run an 9700 on my gaming rig & have a GF2 on my server... I buy what I think suits me the best for gaming.. NOT who's name is on the box!! I have never had any trouble with any Nvidia product.. I can't say the same for ATI.. Flame away jack offs..

most of those people weren't around or forgot about ATi doing the same thing with the 8500. They did the same thing that nVidia is doing, except that ATi did it with Quake 3. Personally, I don't really care. My eyes aren't attuned enough to be able to tell the difference between the way nVidia does it or the way ATi does it. As long as it looks good and runs smooth, it's fine with me.

Someone have a non-setup, extracted distribution of this? (I like to update the normal Device Manager way.)
