Emerson Network Power Announces Nano-ITX Embedded Motherboard

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, today announced its first embedded motherboard based on the ultra low-power Intel® Atom™ processor-based platform, also announced today by Intel®.

The NITX-300 is a Nano-ITX (120 mm by 120 mm) form factor motherboard with a low-height profile to fit into most enclosures, passive cooling capability for reliable operation, and extended temperature capability for use in a wide variety of applications. It features the Intel® Atom™ Processor E6xx series at 0.6 GHz to 1.3 GHz and Intel® Platform Controller Hub EG20T supported by up to 1 GB soldered DDR2 memory.

[thumbleft=10]Emerson Network Power’s NITX-300 series is ideal for applications that require a low-power, easy-to-use Nano-ITX motherboard with support for a variety of operating systems. Example applications include medical carts, portable instruments, set-top boxes, digital signage, media players and test devices.

The NITX-300 series supports dual displays with LVDS and VGA connectivity and features a wide range of built-in connectivity. In addition to Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express and multiple USB and serial interfaces, the embedded motherboard also features:

SATA interface to enable connection of a physical or solid state disk
PCI Express Mini Card slot to enable Wi-Fi/WiMAX connectivity
CAN interface to enable connection to vehicle test systems
Slim Lite SSD connector for use with robust solid state drives
MicroSD memory card connector to enable removable storage
Temperature range option from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius

Emerson Network Power supports Microsoft® Windows® XP, Microsoft® Windows® 7, Microsoft® Windows® Embedded 7 Standard and MeeGo Linux as standard on the NITX-300 series embedded motherboard.
