In August, Intel is releasing its latest Core based Merom processor. At that time, Merom coupled with the existing products is spirit of ¡§Napa Refresh¡¨. But the full power of Merom is only brought till the release of Santa Rosa platform in 2007 Q2!
According to the latest whitepaper of Santa Rosa, Crestline is the new north bridge coupled with Merom, supports 800 MHz FSB, features DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.0 supported IGP, clocked at 400 MHz, have a maximum of 13.8W consumption at 1.5V only. With Dynamic Video Memoy Technology 4.0, it could share up to 256MB system memory. Compared with the existing Intel 945GM (Calistoga), Crestline has another 50% boost and the largest resolution supported is improved to 2048 x 1536.
