Dell has extended its PowerEdge C-Series with a new model designed for high-performance computing (HPC), big data and hyper-converged infrastructure deployments, combining Intel's Xeon E5-2600 v3 server chips with up to 72TB of local storage.

The PowerEdge C6320 is the latest addition to Dell's 13th generation PowerEdge server portfolio, which launched following the arrival of Intel's Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors last year.

As such, it is the successor to the existing PowerEdge C6220, which combines four independent two-socket servers into a single 2U rack-mount chassis.
