The small plastic black box (8"w, 7.75"d, 1.75"h) has been designed to sit near flush on most tower cases but is also supplied with two brackets for upright mounting. It is rather lighter than expected. The front houses optical in and out sockets for data transmission to audio equipment such as Minidisk, a line in, a microphone in (wrong size should be a full size jack), headphones with balance control, master control, a quick CMSS button (this gives wrap around 5.1 sound from conventional two channels), a standby button and four LED's indicating power on, remote control receive, using digital and CMSS enabled
