ColourDock can get the HEX or RGB code from anywhere you point to on your screen.Once opened, ColourDock sits quietly in the tray and can be opened anytime by clicking on CTRL+C which immediately brings up the small window to select an area of the screen. You can change this hotkey in the settings, but we found it much easier to use the hotkey. The other option is to open the window and click on the eye dropper.It can show you not only the most seven recent colors, but you can also pin seven of your favorites. By default, once ColourDock has saved seven colors it will remove the last one added to make room for the newest.ColourDock remembers wherever you move it to and has numerous settings to make it visually more appealing including dark mode, designed to blend with Adobe CC.ColourDock is well thought out. There are numerous tools out there that can capture colors on the screen, ColourDock delivers on the promise of being simple to use with plenty of features for customizing.
