Bouncer v1.0 RC5 Win9x/ME/NT/2000/XP!

Published by

Bouncer is a network tool which allows you to bypass proxy restrictions and obtain outside connections from an internal LAN. It uses SSL tunnelling, which allows you to obtain a constant streaming connection out of a proxy. If you are restricted behind a proxy and can access secure online ordering sites, then you can get out to whatever host on whatever port you want. It also supports a lot of other features including socks 5, basic authentication, access control lists, and Web-based administration.

What's New?

1. Fixed all the potential remote and local exploits (there were a lot) - mainly with regard to overflowing buffers. Socks 5 routine had the major one which allowed you to write to any position in memory you wanted by constructing an interesting Socks 5 request.

2. Fixed a couple of "weird things could happen" errors. Was checking the strlen of an uninitialised buffer before to see if the option was set. All buffers are now memset'd before anything is done with them - maybe a bit excessive.

3. Fixed --a_bind parameter passing bug.

4. Fixed error routines under Windows as they stopped working properly.

5. Created some more source files to clean it up more.

6. Timeout option now effects SSL Tunnelling as well as connects and socks.

7. Cleaned up socket error messages under Windows.

8. Cleaned up Bouncer Admin with some cosmetic changes.

9. Cleaned up lame process cloaking under Linux.

10. Added a few more binary builds to the list.
