Bouncer v1.0 RC3 Win9x/ME/NT/2000/XP!

Published by

Bouncer is a network tool which allows you to bypass proxy restrictions and obtain outside connections from an internal LAN. It uses SSL tunnelling, which allows you to obtain a constant streaming connection out of a proxy. If you are restricted behind a proxy and can access secure online ordering sites, then you can get out to whatever host on whatever port you want. It also supports a lot of other features including socks 5, basic authentication, access control lists, and Web-based administration.

What's new

1. Fixed a logfile bug which meant it would write the help screen to the logfile is you had invalid options.

2. Changed copyright and other appearences on the web server.

3. Changed timestamp format for --full-time so it does not use up all the screen.

4. Changed SSL tunnelling headers to use Proxy-Connection: Close instead of Keep-Alive to stop hanging connections.

5. Linux and Solaris builds now use asynchronous dns lookups instead of blocking lookups.

6. Moved some options into Logging Options on the help screen.

7. Added a draft user guide which has been long overdue.
