Bombono DVD 0.5.2 has been released

Bombono DVD is a DVD authoring program for Linux. This software allows you to get video on those optical discs without knowing many technical details. The version 0.5.2 is the last stable one from the first program publication and ready to use by general public.

The program provides full authoring sequence: making chapters while browsing videos, custom menu creation, authoring and optionally burning on DVD. Also, it features such an interesting feature as re-authoring: one can get video back from DVDs.

Bombono DVD project has a purpose to suggest a free alternative to such commercial products as TMPGEnc DVD Author and Roxio DVDit on home computers.

Bombono DVD does not have transcoding capabilities so one can get videos ready with applications like Winff, Kdenlive or Kino.

Availability:
Bombono DVD is Open Source software and licensed under GPLv2. It is now prepackaged for all recent Ubuntu distributions. Also, it is available for ALTlinux, Arch and openSUSE.
