An vulnerability has been found which would allow users to "cheat" a BitTorrent tracker into thinking the user had a more favourable ratio than he actually did.

Many of today's BitTorrent trackers rely on a ratio system to ensure leechers (P2P users who download data but do not share) to a minimum. The ratio system basically tracks a user's upload and download amounts and ensures a fair minimum upload ratio is maintained. Now it looks like an exploit has been found which would allow users to "cheat" a tracker into thinking the user had a more favourable ratio than he actually did.
