AutoBootDisk is a freeware app capable of automatically downloading and booting 78 Linux distros as well as any you already downloaded.AutoBootDisk begins with the choice of Custom or Automatic. While not explained, Custom allows you to load a distro already on your drive. Automatic will give you a selection of available distros and begin downloading. It is effortless and quick, as promised. Once you have downloaded your distro, you can select the USB drive to write to. Once completed you can boot from the USB drive with your fresh copy of Linux. We did find a few annoyances and negatives that we hope will be addressed. The application itself is almost 1400 pixels wide with no way to resize it. There's no need for this large size, and it would be a much more polished app if it were resizable and or smaller by default. As it is now, there's only a couple large buttons and a large window which could be replaced with something more attractive. When choosing a distro, they're not in alphabetical order so be prepared to read through all 78 distros to try and find the one you want. There's no pause button available when downloading either. Received is spelled wrong while downloading.AutoBootDisk should probably be labeled a beta in its current form. We hope the author sees our review and addresses the problems we had.AutoBootDisk is off to a great start with the ability to download 78 different distros. However, the goal of AutoBootDisk is to be better than Rufus, Unetbootin, and Universal USB Installer and it needs to be more polished and portable to accomplish this. AutoBootDisk falls a bit short of the 4-star apps we list on MajorGeeks, but if you can handle the annoyances, we see a lot of promise here.Author accepts donations at http://bluskript.wixsite.com/autobootdisk
